aP89 FAQ

There are three steps : Editing, Compiling and Programming.
We accept mp3、wav、aif、wma、avi、mpeg.
There are two possibility one is “ your total voice length is too long”. The another is “you didn’t use our suggest editing software. “ Usually we suggest use SOUND FORGE、GOLD WAVE、COOL EDIT .
There will be a little distorted when the voices transfer to our acceptable format. So, we need some editing software to modify the voices to improve the quality. Raising sample rate or using PCM compression will be helpful. If you any further voice quality the request, pls contact our editing engineer [email protected]
No ! Every Rosc value is corresponded to one single sample rate to adjust its speed.
Yes ! You can use PCM compression in some bad quality voice files, but please note it’ll occupy more memory, so you must calculate a right sample rate at first.
No ! Because their RAMP UP & RAMP DOWN are different, if you do not use your compiling output in your application , it may produce “ Po “ noise before or after you play the voices.
No ! Because their RAMP UP & RAMP DOWN are different, if you do not use your compiling output in your application , it may produce “ Po “ noise before or after you play the voices.
Because 8050 transistor belongs to A type amplifier, its high temperature is normal. To avoid this situation happened, we suggest you use APLUS “ AP4890B “ audio power amplifier to improve it.
If there are any noise existing in the power supply, these noises will be easy through the IC power supply transmit to affect the voice quality. We suggest “serial connection” 47Ω resistor in front of the ic vdd and connect a capacitor between vdd and vss. Becouse of the different circumstances the value of capacitors will be not fixed , but you can try 10uF at first.
The operating current of the IC itself is about 10mA, if you use” PWM “ to drive speaker directly, the total current will be about 50 ~ 70mA. If you use “ COUT “ add transistor to drive speaker, the total current will be from 120mA to 250mA depends on what speakers & transistors you use.
IC will automatically enter sleep mode after finish playing. So its operating current will be less than 1-5uA.
All are based on 4bit 6KHz sample rate. It means if you run out all the length, the best sample rate is 4bit 6KHz.
It depends on your original voices . General speaking, high sample rate has better effect. But, some special voices they need low sample rate instead.
We suggest 22KHz sample rate is the highest one in every project. If over 25KHz, the IC frequency will be easily unstable.
According to our experience, 8KHz sample rate will be accepted by 70% of customers.
No. But, we can utilize software to transfer MIDI or MELODY to WAV or VOC format then we can program them into our OTP.
The working voltage of the 3 bodies with A can reach 5V, but the three none A can reach 3.6V only.
We use 8Ohm, 0.25W speaker generally.
